We recognise that our visitors return to Tarbert again and again not because of the marina itself, but due to the charm of the village and all that it has to offer. There are many small businesses wrapped around the harbour, offering a varied opportunity for marine tourists to eat, drink and shop. As a social enterprise, Tarbert Harbour is truly at the heart of the heritage village and it is our mission to run the marina in a way that benefits the local economy.
Inspired by a marina in Sweden, where they work closely with local restaurants, shops and suppliers to enable them to offer packages to visitors entitling them to discounts in the various establishments, we have decided to flip this model and instead reward visitors with discounted berthing when they spend locally. This is in line with our social enterprise ethos, and allows for maximum benefit for participating businesses - while you, the sailor, also make savings!
As you and your crew eat, drink and shop in the village, we add stamps of approval to your account and reward you with discounted berthing on your next visit. Look out for the 'Spend +Save' badge in participating establishments and simply retain and present your receipts to us at the chandlery reception. We will stamp your receipts and keep a loyalty card for you at reception to record your spending, and more importantly, the discount you are due upon your next visit!
Your receipts must pertain to the minimum spends noted below to receive a stamp and you must also check in to reception on arrival at the marina, as you will start a new loyalty card each time you visit. The more you spend on this visit, the more you will save on the next...
These businesses are actively engaged with us and have opted in to the program. That's not to say that we won't see more participating businesses in the future. Please read the full Terms & Conditions before enrolling in the program and starting your loyalty card.
