Mariners are advised that :-

From W.C 18th August 2025, ground investigation works will commence on the waters and foreshore on the North side of the harbour adjacent to the pontoon section known as the East Main Leg.

The duration of the works is expected to be two weeks.

Drilling works will be undertaken at various locations within the area, from spud-leg barge CW-1. The barge is not self-propelled and will be moved to the required locations by tug Coastworker.

As the barge is undertaking works, or while moving to a different borehole location, there will be times when access to the section of waterway shown in the below image is restricted. Any mariners who intend to utilise the waters on the seaward side of the EML should contact the marina office and await instruction. Such restrictions will be temporary and THA staff will confirm when access to this pontoon section is available.

THA staff will be available on VHF CH 14, or by calling 01880 820 344 and 07747 082 518 (after 5pm).

CW-1 and Coastworker will also be listening on VHF 14 & 16.
