Chandlery now supplying FloGas bottles

As you may already be aware, our Chandlery has been struggling with limited supply of Calor Gas Bottles for the last 2 years.

In February 2023, Calor Gas began informing distributers of their plans to discontinue the 6 Lite Propane, 4.5kg Butane, 3.9kg Propane and 12kg Butane Bottles. This has caused problems for most of our customers who purchase 4.5kg and 3.9kg bottles as their gas lockers are designed to store bottles this size. Calor have suggested that customers replace smaller bottles with 7kg Butane Bottles or 907 Camping Gaz. However, we understand that this is not achievable for everyone as it would involve additional rental costs, creating space for larger bottles, and possibly purchasing new regulators.

To rectify this issue, THA have been talking with various suppliers and have concluded that we must offer alternate products to meet the needs of customers with smaller gas lockers. This has resulted in our Chandlery now beginning to supply FloGas Bottles in the size 4.5kg and 3.9kg. We understand that some customers may feel frustrated as this will involve returning Calor Gas Bottles and paying additional rental costs for hiring the new FloGas bottles. However, it does offer a solution to those who require 4.5kg and 3.9kg bottles regularly as our new supplier has informed us that they have the necessary stock.
